Four Sisters

In going through my old photos I came across this gem.
It is me, my sister Kelly, my Mom and my sister Laurie.
I am surounded by wonderful and beautiful women. I wish every girl
could have at least one sister; I am doubly blessed with
two. I couldn't be any luckier. I love you girls!

Beach Club

Day at the Beach Club

Emily, Ryan, Katie and Delaney came over this afternoon. My friend Kelly met us at the Beach Club and checked us in, and we kept her two kids, while she went to an appointment. The Beach Club is part of the HOA for our neighborhood. Since we are renting, we need someone official, who actually owns a house here to get us in, and Kelly has kindly offered several times this summer. Today, we took her up on it.

Playing in the Sand and Sun.

Time out for a snack. The little lake behind Delaney is part of the HOA park too.
You can rent paddle boats, sail boats, and big wheel boats. Beyond the lake is a little Croatian Village they are building with dining and shops then beyond that, our apartment complex.

Emily and Ryan, he was dying to dive in! The day was about 100 degrees, and the pool at least 95. Pretty easy to get into, but not very refreshing! We had a great time.

Delaney behind the Ray Bans.

It was lots of fun. It was the next best thing to the real thing. 14 ft. sandy perimeter of a ginormous pool, and a nice splash pad. Lots of trees lining the edges and grassy places to sit in our reclining loungers.... not that we were reclining or lounging with two little ones, but it was
lots of fun. Here is a photo of Katie poolside and her curvaceous figure.

.
She will be skinny again soon, no doubt.

Ryans Birthday Party

Birthday Cake

Lots of Fun Presents

We swam at the party- It was a Swimmy Birthday Party After All!
Ryan LOVES the water and can swim all by himself-
Not alone in the pool of course, but between two adults!

Ryan and Delaney are part fish, I am sure!
Miss Delaney loves to get wet and swim. She had a blast at the party.
It is so fun to live close enough to share these special days.

Girls Camp 08

Red Rock Canyon State Park, Oklahoma

I took this photo before all the girls arrived. It is 45 minutes west of OKC so about 4.5 hours from home. We went there for Stake Girls Camp. I worked on the activities for the girls and we had lots of FUN. We had Crafts, The Red Rock Day Spa with natural facials etc., Personal Safety classes and Dancing Classes and fires, knives, cooking and lots more. We had campfires each night. It wasn't the high Sierra girls camp that I grew up with, but it was better than some camps I have been to in Texas.

It was pretty nice. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had hot showers and flush toilets. It had a real kitchen with a walk in fridge (the coolest place in camp!) ...

Some may say that is NOT camping,
but I think that it is camping enough. We had a great week.

Don't Get Too Bored Yet!

Katie informed me that unless I post on my blog, no one will ever read it.... so, tonite I downloaded Picasa2, which lets me link directly to Blogger and Voila! here you have it.
Photos and words together... hopefully not too many words. I will go through my photos and post things that are interesting that may not be brand new, but have never been shared before.
Enjoy....

Father and Son

I just love this tender, candid shot of Jared and Ryan.
We were at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum in March when I caught this photo.

The Girls with Scott and Ryan

So fun to be together!
Many of these photos were taken just before Scott left on his mission.

Best of Friends

I love this Photo. Scott and Dave are dear friends and I am sure they both miss their daily conversations.
We talk to all our kids almost every day, and it was hard to go cold turkey with Scott. We do love to get his letters though!

Meeting Janeese

This was the weekend last winter we met Janeese.
She swept Brent off his feet, and once we met her, we knew why...
she is delightful and beautiful.
In just a few weeks, she will be our newest family member.

Our Family Christmas Pageant 2007

Monster Energy Drink, Ornament and Capers!
Ok, so that is probably not what the real wisemen brought,
but they were the right size for these wisemen to carry!
Judging by the action shot of Satch's tail, he is enjoying being a camel.
Sorry the Photos are so blurry, my camera was on the wrong setting, and it was the only camera used to take pictures of the pageant.

The King and the Angel

This was the only picture we took at Christmas that was not out of focus!
I finally figured out what was wrong with the camera setting, and the battery promptly died!

Sweet Little Family

Emily, Jared and Baby Ryan played the part of the Holy Family.
I am not sure who or what Jared is ready to whack with his staff, but he is ready!
Judging from how fast our family is growing, it may to be a long time before we have to use a baby doll for baby Jesus.....

Sign at the Back Door of the Rodeo

I love this sign--- Paramedics and Bullfighters ONLY!
If you click on the photo, you will see that it says
"This means NO FAMILIES or GIRLFRIENDS!

Out in Amarillo, things are a little different!

We came across this advertisement for Motel rooms out in the boonies
near Amarillo.... we saw the sign in the morning, didn't need a room at the time,
but it sure looked interesting!

Brothers and Buddies

Brent And Scott in March 2008.
Brent was such a scrawny little kid it is kinda ironic he is the biggest one now.
Just wait till Scott is home in two years, things might change by then!
