Camping @ Carpinteria State Beach

Carp was gorgeous! No costal layer at all, and warm, warm water.
We were even lucky enough to get there on the night of a "Grunion Run"
Even when we lived in Carp, I never got out of the house at that outrageous
hour to search for Grunion, so I was excited to give it a try.
Despite my searching the beach for those little fishes doing their interesting
mating routine on the beach, at 3:15 am and again at 4:00am, I saw nothing!
For all I know, they are related to Snipes, and I went on a snipe hunt at the beach!
Yep, I am pretty certian they are snipes!

Emily and Ryan and Brent joined us for the Camping Adventure. In fact, it was Emily's idea, and such a good idea it was. We had a fab time.

Uncle Brent taking Ryan for a boogie board ride.

Showing off his bottom teeth, Ryan plays in the car.

Covered in sand.... What is it about the beach, that the smallest kid always gets burried?
